F****** ****!!!
Just spending an hour watching Arcade Fire back at Reading last year on BBC4, just amazing. I wondered at them in Norwich last year, the stage show with the round-mirror-like lights, the drummer hitting everything in sight and just bouncing off the walls, the fiery seductive brunette girl with the red lipstick staring with empowered eyes, and the singer just playing his songs from the bottom of his soul. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a collection of people so utterly absorbed in personal passions, utterly committed to the moment that’s right there at the end of the Pop dream. It’s, well, fucki*g amazing.
